We’re looking for a Head Butcher that’s organized, detail oriented, and passionate about working with some of the finest whole carcass butchery Appalachia has to offer. Under Chef direction, the Head Butcher will lead our team to partner with both farmers and restaurants, while also being able to showcase their skills in special farm and social events.

This unique opportunity may suit a knowledgeable chef with good experience of butchery or someone with a traditional background in butchery.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Assisting farmers with processing needs & business development
– Creating marketing materials for farmers and Watauga Butchery
– Supporting farm events and customer experiences
